Property Taxes
New Yorkers pay too much in property taxes – largely the result of unfunded mandates coming out of Albany. Rick Dollinger is committed to lowering property taxes by ending the practice of unfunded mandates, promoting a fair state funding formula for our schools, and capping tax increases on working families.
Jobs
Rick Dollinger is committed to creating new, living wage jobs in upstate New York. He strongly advocates giving tax incentives to businesses to create good paying jobs in the region, and forcing companies that have outsourced our jobs to give back taxpayer money.
Reform
It's time for the era of "three men in a room" to end – the New York State Legislature has earned the dubious distinct of being the "most dysfunctional" in the country. Rick is committed to reforming Albany, ending the crippling gridlock and pork barrel spending that cripples our state, and working hard for the people of Rochester.
Education
For years, education funding has been diverted from where it's needed most to provide political favors to the wealthiest school districts, and Rochester-area schools haven't gotten their fair shake. Rick will fight for a policy that gives fair funding to the districts that need it most.
